Once again CXC supporters teamed up to challenge CXC to continue to build upon our successes from last year to grow and support cross country skiing for all ages and abilities.
It is a 3:1 matching challange. Our goal is to raise $45,000 from the Nordic community to leverage the $15,000 from our generous benefactors, for the total goal of $60,000.
This donor opportunity provides a way for anyone to give back to our sport through CXC Programs. These CXC programs are the backbone of ski development and promotion of our port in the Midwest.
CXC Programs that need your support:
- Nordic Rocks for Schools Program: introducing children to cross-country skiing through elementary and middle schools. It takes $5,000 to set-up one school with a set of 30-35 cross country skis, storage equipment, and educational materials. Goal: $15,000
- Skier Development Program: providing coaching support at training camps (Igor Legacy Camps, Regional Elite Camp, U16 Dream Camp), assisting clubs with resources, expertise, and sharing best practices among ski clubs (club visits, Club Excellence conference), and guiding coaches with fundamental principles of coaching, technique and principals of Safe Sport Goal (coaches supplemental clinics, coaches symposium, certification, coaches conference). Goal: $10,000
- CXC Team: providing full-time coaching, training and race service to support development athletes and Olympic hopefuls on their journey towards national and international excellence. Goal: $30,000
- Adaptive Program: introducing children, adults, and veterans with physical disabilities, visual impairment or blindness by providing them with equipment and offering opportunities for year-round participation. Goal $5,000
