Dear friends,

Now that we’ve had some snow in the upper Midwest and some had opportunity to ski, we are celebrating a day of giving back! Tomorrow, the Central Cross Country Skiing is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of charitable giving.

Our goal is to raise $45,000 by December 31, 2017. Show your support on #GivingTuesday and help us to introduce youth to the sport we love through the Nordic Rocks for Schools program, by providing sport advancement opportunities to youth through clinics, organizing training camps, supporting races in the Midwest, and to develop educational events that will mentor instructors, coaches, clubs leaders, and officials of any level.

A donation of any amount helps our organization to grow and promote the sport of cross-country skiing. More than 20,000 youth skiers participate annually in our programs through 124 public elementary and middle schools, 147 clubs and teams and race at over 35 competitions.

Once again several CXC supporters teamed up to challenge the Nordic community to continue to build upon our successes from last year and to support cross country skiing for all ages and abilities. Starting today all donations are matched 3:1 Our goal is to raise up to $45,000 by the end of the day on December 31, 2017.

Donate now to get a head start on #GivingTuesday and thank you for helping us!

Once again CXC supporters teamed up to challenge CXC to continue to build upon our successes from last year to grow and support cross country skiing for all ages and abilities.

It is a 3:1 matching challange. Our goal is to raise $45,000 from the Nordic community to leverage the $15,000 from our generous benefactors, for the total goal of $60,000.

This donor opportunity provides a way for anyone to give back to our sport through CXC Programs. These CXC programs are the backbone of ski development and promotion of our port in the Midwest.

CXC Programs that need your support:

- Nordic Rocks for Schools Program: introducing children to cross-country skiing through elementary and middle schools. It takes $5,000 to set-up one school with a set of 30-35 cross country skis, storage equipment, and educational materials. Goal: $15,000

- Skier Development Program: providing coaching support at training camps (Igor Legacy Camps, Regional Elite Camp, U16 Dream Camp), assisting clubs with resources, expertise, and sharing best practices among ski clubs (club visits, Club Excellence conference), and guiding coaches with fundamental principles of coaching, technique and principals of Safe Sport Goal (coaches supplemental clinics, coaches symposium, certification, coaches conference). Goal: $10,000

- CXC Team: providing full-time coaching, training and race service to support development athletes and Olympic hopefuls on their journey towards national and international excellence.  Goal: $30,000

- Adaptive Program:  introducing children, adults, and veterans with physical disabilities, visual impairment or blindness by providing them with equipment and offering opportunities for year-round participation. Goal $5,000
